It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas

Don't you just love that song? It's not just me is it. It reminds me of our honeymoon or our 'Disneymoon' to WDW in December 2007. It seemed to be playing everywhere we went, from themeparks, restaurants or shops. And even before I hit Joanns I knew I would be using the title on a page for our honeymoon album. And here it is. Mainly Heidi Grace and Bazzill with a wooden floral embellie from Joanns that isn't quite the right type of flower but it's the right colours so why not :)

It is now beginning to look a lot like Christmas around my home too and just for a change I am not talking about the snow! Incidentally, do you know what I can see? Tarmac! It's a small piece but it's tarmac all the same. Hello tarmac, oh how I've missed thee...

OK so back to the sights of Christmas in my home, afterall I said I wasn't going to talk about the snow! Fail! I've tried to leave a little bit of white space in these pictures so I can journal and emellish them at a later date. As my Christmas journal is a teeny 4x6 in size, the extra space will come in very handy.

In these pictures there are a couple of new ornaments for this year; I bought the Dear Santa ornaments in a little shop in Kenmore when we were away last month. And there are also a couple of old favourites; the Bah Humbug and Here Comes Santa ornaments were bought a few years ago in the Hallmark sale - result! Our two novelty Yankee Candle tart warmers; we bought the snowman one from the Yankee Candle shop in the Florida Mall on our honeymoon. I love that there are three little snowmen just like our little family of three :) The Christmas tree tart warmer is a new addition this year and is a piece that I have been looking for for 3 years now. And my little man's Santa advent calendar. I added an extra piece of ribbon to it this year so it can hang from the door at 2 year old height :)

Thanks for stopping by Kxx

Stand on your two left feet...

...and join our Raggy Doll chums. I have no idea why I have the Raggy Dolls theme tune playing in my head. I think it is pretty safe to say that cabin fever has finally set in. I've been snowed in for 11 days now. I am so over the snow it is unreal although it has made for some very pretty festive pictures.
Suddenly the soundtrack in my head has switched to 'the weather outside is frightful'... being stuck indoors has meant that I have had lots of time to work on my Christmas journal.

and breathe...

It's no coincidence that I should receive an email reminding me to stop and enjoy the world around me on what has been an extremely stressful day. Thank you Shimelle and to all those taking part in JYC who make this class possible. If you haven't already signed up, you should :) Cue M&S music... this isn't any old scrapbooking class, it's therapy! ;) The fickle finger of fate, I salute you :)

My Manifesto for the JYC Project

As I started to put ink to paper a manifesto for this project (not the theme of this project) started to form in my mind.

I am not going to be bogged down deciding which supplies to use. I will not wait until I have just the right shade of ink before starting my project. I am using Sharon Ann's Christmas Magic collection by LYB and that's an end to the matter. And I'll use the ink I have to hand and to be honest the one and only shade of green that I have isn't a bad match.

I'll pick a format and stick to it. I'm not waiting until I have all my photos. I am using a packet of 4x6 AC page protectors (inspired by Laura's Paris Mini Book) and that's that. I'm going to have one page for journalling and one page for photos, therefore the photos can be added at the end or whenever.

This project is going to be doable. This is a project that I am going to finish.

And to that end, I have a plan, I have my mojo and I have a front cover! Thanks to Shimelle for an inspiring, kick in the bottom first prompt yesterday. For anyone who is swithering whether to take this class or not I say GO FOR IT!! I cannot wait to get started on page two and all of a sudden a project that I have wanted to do for so long but feared at the same time seems doable but much more importantly, enjoyable too.

Journal your Christmas

Happy 1st of December. Today is a really happy day for me, firstly it is my 3rd wedding anniversary, it's the first day of advent and the first day of JYC.

Like everyone we have had a lot of snow these last few days and I can't help but wonder how we would have felt had the weather been like this 3 years ago on our wedding day. Would our wedding guests have made it through the snow?, would we have braved the elements for some winter wonderland photos? Would we have made our flights from Edinburgh and Gatwick to Orlando? I do know that am thankful that the snow stayed away until now.

Today my little man opened his first advent calendar. This is his 3rd Christmas but he was too little for chocolate on his 1st Christmas by his 2nd Christmas he had been diagnosed with a milk intollerance. This year he grew out of his milk intollerance and this Christmas he has chocolate in his advent calendar for the first time and a selection box under the tree. Well he would have a selection box if we hadn't broken into it today. Did I mention that we are snowed in? :p

Today's prompt for JYC asks us to consider what we want from JYC. What do I want from JYC 2010...? Hmm... I want to make a little book that documents OUR Christmas, OUR traditions, what WE do at Christmas time. I want to create something I can add to over the years maybe all in one album or several - I'll just wait and see how I get on. I want to remember the little things, the small things that make Christmas, Christmas.

Things I want to remember about today:
  • We are snowed in and have been for 4 days
  • It's our 3rd wedding anniversary

  • It's the 1st of the month and Jack opened his first advent calendar

  • Charlie Cat has sat around all day looking miffed at being stuck indoors
  • This is the most snow we have ever seen

  • This is the first time that we already have the Christmas decorations up (we put them up the first day we were snowed in)
I don't intend to do something crafty everyday but I am hoping to be able to blog my thoughts of the day and use them at a later date to create my JYC album.

Happy 1st of December!

Happy {Belated} Halloween

Happy {belated} Halloween. I hope you had a spooky time. We tricked and treated our way through the whole weekend and now have a cupboard full of jelly sweeties to prove it. I'll share some photos of Jack the Spider soon although I'm not sure if I got a 'good' one - two year olds are so hard to 'catch'. If you have any tips on getting two year olds to look at the camera I'd love to hear them.

Today I want to share two spooky pages with you. The photos were taken two years ago on Jack's first Halloween - I can't believe how tiny he wass and so easy to photograph too. Don't you just love it when you can put them down and they are still in the same place that you left them in? ;)

The papers are Bo Bunny Whooligans and the embellies are K&Co Spooktacular (all the way from the USA from my lovely friend Zoe) and the orange alphas are Little Yellow Bicycle Frightful and green alphas are American Crafts Thickers.

Thanks for stopping by. Kx

Addicted to Soap

I haven't scrapping in what feels like ages. I haven't even sat in my craft room to play never mind actually create something. I am not sure why. Although I can think of one factor that might be responsible for my lack of time - soaps!

Hello, my name is Kirsteen and I am addicted to soaps. I watch 4 of them; Home and Away, Emmerdale, Cornation Street and Eastenders. I don't even want to tally up how many hours a week that actually is but just off the top of my head, it's 10 hours a week at least! Yikes. I watch via Sky+ though so I must be saving some time fast forwarding all the adverts, that's good right? Should I ditch one? Should I ditch two? What ones would you ditch? Are you a soap addict too?

Halloween's Coming...

I can't wait for Halloween. Can you? Most of all I can't wait for the children's Halloween costumes to arrive in Tesco!! Last year my little man was a vampire and this is by far my favourite Halloween costume he has worn to date (he's only two mind you ;p). I was torn between a bat suit and a vampire suit. I went with the vampire suit and although I'll admit that I'm a little biasied I think I made the right decision, he was the cutest vampire in town ;) I wonder what he will be this year...

Pop on over to the DCWV Blog to be in with a chance to win three spooky prizes :)

Going Green

I decided today was the day to break into my DCWV Green Stack. If you haven't already got this stack or haven't even seen it then pop over to DCWV and take a peek as it is lovely of the most loveliest.

I choose a photo of my two nieces. I'm working on an album for each of the girls. With two albums it gives me scope to redo pages that I've really enjoyed making and I definitely think this is going to be one of them. There's just something about the title 'sisters' that is so simple yet powerful at the same time.

Not only did I break into a coveted DCWV stack but I also tried my hand at distressing. Distressing goes against my natural instincts to protect and keep my scrapping supplies in pristine contidion but I love the distressed look. I started by using the Martha Stewart Doily Hearts edge punch to punch all four sides of a sheet from the Green Stack. I kinda winged it at the corners and simply trimmed away any unwanted edges. I ran some Vintage Photo Distress Ink over the punched edges and stuck this to a sheet of cardstock from the DCWV Brights Cardstock Stack. I ran a baby wipe over the edges of the cardstock and distressed it with my fingers and inked the edges too. I did the same with a smaller piece of patterned paper also from the Green Stack. I then added my photo and some embellies. I used the Martha Stewart Monarch Large Butterfly punch and thge Sizzix Circles die to create my embellies. The large flower and little birdie are from the Green Stack Chipboard set. I added a few Kaisedrcraft gems for a little bit bling.

Now I'm off to jump into bed with Edward. New Moon how I love thee ;) Night, night everyone. Kx

Playing Catch-up

I have fallen so far behind with LSNED but I am determind not to give up. I am going to finish one of Shimelle's classes ;p So here is my round-up from Day 10 to 21....

Today I learned...

  • Day 10 - My local Tesco were sold out of neon pink nail polish!! How very dare they.
  • Day 11 - How to be a cheerleader.
  • Day 12 - Hangover + Toodler = Fun Times.
  • Day 13 - I love the Fed Ex man. He brings parcels from far off places. Namely DCWV with my winnings!!!
  • Day 14 - It's freezing. The office is cold. It must be about time to turn the heating on.
  • Day 15 - An electric blow heater can warm a small office.
  • Day 16 - It's better to be at home in bed when you are not well.
  • Day 17 - That I'm not over this bug after all.
  • Day 18 - The little man's playhouse is huge!
  • Day 19 - It doesn't matter how much I sleep I am still tired.
  • Day 20 - Welly Boot shopping for 2 year olds is lots of fun.
  • Day 21 - Getting up at 6.15 sucks.

Phew, that feels better. Thanks for stopping by. Kx

Back to School - Day 8 - Home James

I've always thought that my two hour round trip to work is a little excessive. A huge waste of time just sitting in the car doing absolutely nothing when I could be doing other more productive things. That is until yesterday when I was chauffeur driven to work by my husband. We were going in the same direction and it seemed like a great idea. And it was a great idea why take two cars when you can go in one. However, I learned a a very important lesson - I like driving, I love my chillout time, I love singing along to my favourite songs and I love having that time to switch from work mode to Mummy mode. It's nice to be chauffeur driven every once in a while but I'm glad of my 'drive time' three days a week.

Back to School - Day 7 - I love Shopping I Do

OK, so my stash diet lasted all of 3 days! In my defence the stash that I bought wasn't for me. So technically it doesn't count, right? I ordered this gorgeous Heidi Grace album for my friend's little girl who incidentally is celebrating her 1 week old birthday today - Happy Birthday Baby Ellen :)

My lesson for to today is that there are always ways to get around stash diets - shop for your friends!! ;p Thanks for stopping by. Kxx

Back to School - Day 6 - I love Monday's I Do

Monday's rock!! I already knew that but I wanted to remind myself. Monday's are known as Yummy Mummy Mondays in my world. OK, so I'm playing fast and loose with the word 'yummy' but Mummy and Monday are all true ;p Monday is the only day that I get my little man all to myself and I love it. My lesson for today is: never forgot how special Yummy Mummy Monday's are and make the most of each and every single one :) Love you little man, Mummy xx

Monday 6 September 2010

Back to School - Day 5 - Take Notes

I learnt a very important Learn Something New lesson yesterday... I must write my lessons down as soon as I think of them!! I can remember thinking at some point yesterday ooh that is a good lesson for LSNED but today I have forgotten it! d'oh! I can also extent this lesson to my WW diet as I've been struggling latey and guess what? I haven't written a thing down. Here's to a day of writing things down today :)

Sunday 5 September 2010

Back to School - Day 4

Yesterday I learnt that it is going to take a very, very, very, very long time to paint our garden fence, along with our shed, the little man's swing, our table and four chairs plus the little man's playhouse. I haven't even ordered the playhouse yet even though there are only four weekends between now and the little man's 2nd birthday! I guess my lesson is that there just aren't enough hours in the day :)

This is the playhouse the little man's Grandparents and all his Aunties and Uncles and Mummy and Daddy are buying for his birthday in October. I can't wait to see his little face when he sees it :)

Friday 3 September 2010

Back to School - Day 3

It's only 11am but I am 100% sure that I have already learnt my lesson for today... I do not NEED to buy any more scrapbooking supplies. I hereby declare that I am not only on a Weightwatchers diet but a stash diet as well. Who's with me? Weightwatchers, stash, both? :)
I won't share any pre-diet photos but here are some of the scrapbooking goodies that will be winging their way onto pages very, very soon. No more shopping!!! ;p
Lots n' lots of lovely ribbon

Back to school - day 2

Yesterday I learned that it is possible to walk PAST the vending machine on the way to the carpark. It seems I didn't need the crisps, chocolate and full fat Coke for the journey home after all :) Me - 1, Vending Machine - 0

First day of school

Yesterday was my first day of school or day one of Shimelle's Learn Something New Everyday class. I really struggled all day to pin point something that I had learned. I was starting to fret that I would be the dunce of the class, that I would be sent outside to sit in the corridor when it dawned on me that that was my lesson! Trying too hard can sometimes be a hinderence. Sometimes I should simply let things happen and go with the flow and that is what I learned yesterday. Thanks for stopping by Kxx

Back to School

Well almost... tomorrow brings the first day of Shimelle's Learn Something New Everyday class. This is the first year that I have done this class. I had originally intended to complete a 6x6 album however I have decided to set myself a more doable (or so I hope!) target so I am going to blog my entries everyday. I'm looking forward to all the inspiration that comes with taking one of Shimelle's classes, to completing this class (positive thinking right!) and to scrapping a little along the way. I'd love for you to join me?! Here's to the last day of the 'school holidays' ;) Thanks for stopping by Kx

Happily Ever After...

I feel like I have been waffling on about my DCWV Once Upon a Time mini album for so long and I'm only now getting around to uploading the photos of the finished album. Thank you for sticking around for so long and without further ado...

Thanks for stopping by, Kxx

A.C. Winner!!

Omgosh!!! I won the DCWV A.C. Moore competition!! omgosh!! I'm so excited, pleased, delighted to have won a DCWV prize!! I've just done a happy dance around the livingroom :)

How cute is this?!? I love how Erin Madsen announces winners :)

I'm off to happy dance around the livingroom some more :) I'll post piccies of my Once Upon a Time mini book tomorrow once I've come down off the ceiling ;) Thanks for stopping by Kxx

I {heart} DCWV

I finally finished my Once Upon a Time album!! Woop woop. I'll post some more photos as soon as I upload them on to my PC. I have had a ball working on this project. I found it quite challenging to work with supplies that I wouldn't normally work with - I'm looking forward to getting back into my comfort zone of traditional red, black and yellow Disney supplies :) I'm really pleased with the end result but have found myself placing my finished album in my bottom drawer for safety - now that's not really the point is it?! Ahh Maybe I should stick to albums with page protectors...?

I managed to squeeze in some time at the weekend to take part in the online crop at shimelle.com and even broke into another DCWV stack - Rockstar!! This is my little neice rocking out with her new guitar :)

If you love DCWV as much as me then pop over to Erin Masden's blog to be in with a chance of winning some gorgeous DCWV goodies.

Thanks for stopping by. Kxx

Sunday 11 July 2010

Once upon a time... it rained and rained and rained

and rained. So much so we abandoned our trip to the safari park this weekend. Fingers crossed for some better weather next weekend as I was really looking forward to meeting the meerkats - simples. All was not lost though, I completed another page for my honeymoon mini book and the front cover too!

Ever since taking part in Shimelle's Something from Almost Nothing class I have adopted a more is more approach to my scrapping (as opposed to my usual 'I couldnt possibly use more than one 'good' embellishment on one page!' approach). I am really enjoying the results and seeing my supply pile shrink while my albums expand full of gorgeous supplies is really quite rewarding.

With this in mind I went to town with the front cover for my honeymoon album. Supplies include; DCWV Once Upon a Time, Prima Marketing blooms (3 of them, count them not 1, not 2 but 3!), Maya Road chipboard Mr & Mrs, gems, ribbon and a sparkly heart ribbon slider.

For this page I had intended to include lots of sayings from the Haunted Mansion ride in the Magic Kingdom but the page just didn't work out that way but I have lots of ideas for other Haunted Mansion pages including; Your ghost host, 999 Happy Haunts, Grinning Ghosts, hurry back ... don't forget to bring your death certificate!, We're dying to meet you! thanks to the girls on UKScrappers.

Supplies for Foolish Mortals (thanks to Sarah for the title) include DCWV, Prima Marketing, and Adornit. I've inked the edges of the papers, alphas and the flower to age it a little. Look out for hidden Mickey's too.

Thanks for stopping by. Kxx

Tuesday 6 July 2010

Once upon a time

I bought three DCWV Once Upon a Time stacks in 2007 (the mat stack, the 8x8 and the 12x12) and until a couple of weeks ago all three stacks had remained unused in the paper mountain that I call my craft room. I couldn't let these gorgeous papers go unseen any longer so I decided to set them free. As they are so pretty I didn't want to hide them away behind a page protector so I opted for a 8x8 chipboard album by 7 Gypsies. Now each page can be stroked and oggled :)

This is what I have done so far...

This week has seen the start of Shimelle's new class Love your Pictures, Love your Pages. We are already on prompt 2 and I haven't even started. I have lots of ideas but haven't had a chance to take a photos yet. Maybe tomorrow... I'll wanna settle down, until tomorrow I'll just keep moving on - you gotta love that little Hobo ;p Thanks for stopping by. Kx

There is no such thing as too much pink

My inner princess has been let loose as I've been working on a few pages for my neices' scrapbooks. I don't think it is ever possible to have too much pink for theses beautiful girlies. I used lots of old K&Co Brenda Walton Small Wonders Girl from a stack I bought in the USA and added some K&Co Ka-Zoo embellies, hand stitching, blooms and gems and put my Martha Stewart punch to good use for It Must be Love. I added a big and little version of the butterflies and flowers to mirror a big sister and a wee sister.

And I used similar supplies for Girls just wanna have fun but added some soft jelly like embellies that I bought in Tesco and some chipboard stickers from ?? (I can't remember). I added a hand stitched circle to frame the photo.

I used even more K&Co Brenda Walton Small Wonders Girl with lots of matching embellies too for this page. How cute is the little washing line? Thanks for stopping by :o) xx

Tuesday 1 June 2010

I'm Coming to get You...

I'd been looking for papers and embellies for some photos I snapped of my wee man last Halloween for yonks. I wanted something cute that would match his vampire costume and just when I thought I was never going to find anything I saw these cute little chipboard vampires that were prefect. They are called Boo to You and are by Bo Bunny. Aren't they cute?

I used a May 2010 PageMaps, paper and embellies from the Boo to You range and some Thickers for You're so Cute it's Scary.

I feel like playing some cheesey 70s music whenever I look at this page ;p I have seen lots of pages with alphas mounted onto paper/cardstock but have never tried it as my hand cutting leaves a lot to be desired! but I didn't think this page through (do I ever?! ;p) and by the time I got to adding my title I was putting black alphas on a mainly black background and I needed to do something to help them standout. I'm pretty pleased with the results - just don't look too closely ;) I used the same supplies for Fangtastic but added a stitched spiders web to the top right of the page. Thanks for dropping by. Kx

Friday 28 May 2010

Look out Ariel!

This is my attempt for the monthly challenge over at The Mill Pond. The challange is to include your journalling in your title and to do something different with your title, something that you would normally do. I included my journalling about not wishing to meet Ursula with my title Under the Sea and I mixed Doodlebug alphas with small Adornit alphas. I wouldn't normally mix a small font with a large one but I like the result.
We saw this scray lady at the Disney Dreams Come True Parade at the Magic Kingdom in 2007. I love that parade! Above is the original photo it all its scary glory.

The Great Scrap Lift

What I love about scrapbooking is that even when your scrapbooking mojo has got up and gone you can always find inspiration in all the lovely work shared online. I'd picked a photo of my little man that I wanted to scrap and I had some new 3 Bugs in a Rug that I thought would be prefect but no mojo to create anything. So I hopped over to scrapbook.com to have a looksee and fell in love with this, isn't it gorgeous. I tried to use it just as inspiration but loved everything so much that it is a complete scraplift from layout to title to supplies. I'm so pleased with the result and I even got to use my new hand stitching tools and my scallop template :)

The cheeky little giraffe is one I bought in Joanns or Michaels in Orlando over two years ago, isn't he a cutie? Happy Saturday! Thanks for dropping by. Kxx

Mojo! wherefore art thou mojo...

My scrapping mojo seems to have gone on it's holiday so I've been revisiting some of my favourites sources of inspiration. I logged on to scrapbook.com to have a peek at all the lovelies over there and imagine my surprise when I saw my 'Chicken, who me?!' page on the homepage :)

If you have a scrapbook.com account please pop over and say hi @ http://www.scrapbook.com/places/Kirsteen

Thanks for dropping by. If you come accross my mojo on your travels please send it my way ;) Kxx

Home Sweet {Disney} Home

The first time we went to Orlando we were a little wet behind the ears. We booked a package with our local travel agent and didn't put much more thought into it. Shocking - considering what a 'Disney planner' I turned out to be! If only I'd known about ADRs and Dollar Express then... This is the first villa we stayed in. It was a little off the beaten track in Kissimmee but lovely all the same. There were no bells and whistles (I've since found villas with pool tables and games rooms and jacuzzi's!) but if you said I could go back to Disney tomorrow and stay there I so would! We had out own pool and it was lovely just to chill out after a hot day at the parks.

By the time we made our second trip I'd let the Disney planner within me loose and I booked a split stay at Disney's Port Orleans Resort and Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge. Riverside is a beautiful resort and we'd stay there again in a flash. This is the view of a quiet pool from our room at Riverside.

Now, you may be thinking that the photo below doesn't look much like the Animal Kingdom Lodge and you would be right. A few months before our honeymoon the Animal Kingdom Lodge started building work on their new DVC (Disney Vacation Club) villas and we were bumped to Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and Spa!! Talk about pixie dust! :) I love, love, love this hotel and would love to stay there again, one day...
I hope you've enjoyed my little stroll around 'The World' ;p xx

Wednesday 28 April 2010

I know I'm in Disney when...

...we take the obligatory 'the one with all the feet' photo of our paving stone that lives at the entrance of the Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World, Orlando.

... when I see 'The Castle'. Each trip has to start and end with a trip to the Magic Kingdom. That first sight of 'The Castle' tells me 'I'm home'. I think I could look at it all day. Swoon.

Thanks for dropping by. xx

Blogging for Scrapbookers

Taking advantage of Heidi Swapps' Blog Sponsor Appreciation Day I've signed up for Shimelle's Blogging for Scrapbookers class. The first prompt asks why I have signed up for this class. So, why have I signed up for this class... I have no idea what to blog, what's interesting, and what's not, what's too much information, and what's not...? Any help I can get with that would be great but most of all I love the idea that I can add photos and details about my daily life here and preserve those memories so I can scrapbook them later when I have the time from my perspective now and not as I remember it in 1 month, 6 months, 2 years (honeymoon album) from now.

Today... when I asked my little man 'what does the sheep do' he said 'baa', he can also do a cat and a rooster. And if you ask him 'what's your name' he says 'dack'. Swoon xx

Confessions of a Shop-a-holic

I’ve been shopping my little pink socks off this week. It’s my birthday week – you all have a birthday week right? Hey, me too. So, technically, I started my birthday shopping on Friday but it was an emergency. I NEEDED a scallop circle template for a page that I am working on of my little man. You know when you actually have to stop working on the page, put it to one side and start something else because you need that particular paper/embellie/tool? Well, it was one of those moments. So, I hot footed it over to my favourite place, Craftz Boutique to place my order and you know how it is - a few other items fell into my cart… In my defence, I was mealy being economical and making the most of the P&P – what’s a girl to do. It is my birthday week afterall (well almost).

I’ve been thinking of trying my hand at stitching on pages so I bought some needles and embroidery thread (I’m a sucker for ‘buying all the gear’). I’d like to get my hands on a Bazzill in Stitch’z Template, maybe the circle one.

My Craftz Boutique parcel is sitting at my local sorting office waiting patiently for me to collect it. It isn’t there alone, it’s waiting alongside a yummy print from Little Musings and I cannot wait to collect them both.

My birthday shopping resumed yesterday. I placed two orders, one with Crafts U Love and one with Artbase. Among my goodies are, a Martha Stewart border punch, a butterfly punch (every scrapper needs one), the Fiskars Treading Water border punch and some of cute K&Co Kazoo range that I think will be perfect for my little man’s album. So, postman stalking has resumed too. I’m in the middle of another oder with Craftz Boutique as their stuff is just so yummy but I’ll tell you more about that later.

And with all this talk of Christmas... here is a page from my honeymoon album, it is about the band at Disney's Grand Floridian resort in Walt Disney World, Orlando - my favourite place in the world.

Supplies are Bazzill, Heidi Grace stickers and rub-ons, gems, wooden star embellie and a Making Memories bell charm. Thanks for stopping by. Kx

My 5 Favourite Pages

The final challenge on Saturday night at http://www.shimelle.com/ was to share your 5 favourite pages so here are mine and why...

My little man is 18 months and I've only just created the first page of his first scrapbook, after months of collecting papers and embellishments, jotting down ideas in two idea books and lots and lots of planning in my head I finally got the courage to make a start - so scared that I would do something wrong. I'm so happy to have made a start and I love this page too.

This is a page that I did a couple of years ago. It was the first page I did that I think of as proper scrapping rather than my early scrapping of photos placed pretty much as they would be in a standard photo album along with a few stickers ;p

This page is special to me as I love the musical Beauty and the Beast and couldn't wait to see the version shown at Disney's MGM Studios. I'm pleased to have used those lovely Karen Foster papers and stickers that I have had for years too.

I love this page as is was my first attempt at 6x12 scrapping, a size that I now love. It also reminds me of the first day of our honeymoon and of all the gorgeous christmas decorations and music at WDW in Dec.

I just love this page as it's just so blooming colourful!! ;p Thanks for stopping by. Kx
